Delhi secured a tight seven-run victory over Gujarat in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, largely thanks to commanding batting performances from IPL stars Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant. Kohli, representing Delhi, scored a fluent 77, while Pant contributed a rapid 70, helping Delhi post a competitive total.
Kohli, who recently became the fastest player to 16,000 List A runs, continued his exceptional white-ball form, anchoring the innings before being dismissed for 77. Pant provided the necessary acceleration with his 70. The strong foundation laid by the duo proved crucial as Gujarat put up a strong fight in the chase, led by Saurav Chauhan’s resistance.
Delhi’s bowlers held their nerve in the final overs, with Prince Yadav taking three wickets to seal the result. The victory ensures Delhi maintains momentum in the domestic 50-over tournament, with their IPL veterans delivering match-winning contributions.

The IPL, I only played two games but every game and every occasion. Definitely, just knowing what I'm able to get out of myself when the situation is like that and when the atmosphere is like that. I definitely had a lot more confidence coming into this game after playing in front of, I don't know, 50,000 - which felt like 100,000 - at the Chinnaswamy.
