Royal Challengers Bangalore stalwart Virat Kohli demonstrated a heartwarming act of sportsmanship during the Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT) clash between Delhi and Gujarat, presenting a signed match ball to the young spinner who dismissed him.
Vishal Jayswal, the Gujarat left-arm spinner, managed to outfox Kohli for a score of 77, getting the veteran batter stumped. Following the narrow seven-run victory for Delhi, Kohli sought out Jayswal to gift him the signed match ball, turning a moment of competitive success into a lifelong memory for the 27-year-old. Jayswal later described the experience of sharing the field with his idol as a dream come true.
Kohli's gesture highlights the mentorship role senior players often take in domestic cricket. Despite the loss for Gujarat, Jayswal finished with four wickets in the match, while Kohli continued his impressive VHT form, having already smashed a century (131) against Andhra earlier in the tournament.

The IPL, I only played two games but every game and every occasion. Definitely, just knowing what I'm able to get out of myself when the situation is like that and when the atmosphere is like that. I definitely had a lot more confidence coming into this game after playing in front of, I don't know, 50,000 - which felt like 100,000 - at the Chinnaswamy.
