Sanju Samson showcased his skills with both bat and gloves in a thrilling friendly T20 match at Greenfield Stadium, leading the KCA Secretary XI to a one-wicket victory over the KCA President XI. Samson's performance, which included a stunning one-handed catch and a crucial half-century (54 off 36 balls), comes as a timely boost ahead of the Asia Cup 2025.

The match, held to inaugurate newly installed LED floodlights, saw Samson captaining the Secretary XI and opting to bowl first. His team made early inroads, reducing the opposition to 49/3. Samson, fielding at slip, took a spectacular one-handed catch to dismiss Sachin Baby for a duck, a moment that quickly gained traction on social media.

Despite a strong batting performance from the President's XI, who posted 184/8, the Secretary XI chased down the target with just two balls to spare.
