Royal Challengers Bangalore opener Phil Salt delivered a stellar performance in the ILT20, guiding the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders (ADKR) into the playoffs with a commanding 32-run victory over the Gulf Giants. Salt anchored the innings with an unbeaten 72, forming a massive 131-run opening partnership with Michael Pepper (83) that propelled ADKR to a formidable total of 179/1.
After setting the challenging target, the ADKR bowling attack, featuring Kolkata Knight Riders star Sunil Narine, successfully stifled the chase. The win secures ADKR's spot in the Eliminator clash against the Dubai Capitals.
Salt's explosive form at the top of the order provides significant momentum and confidence for the English batter as he prepares to join the RCB squad for the upcoming IPL season.

“Pepper’s 83 and Salt’s unbeaten 72 set up 179/1 before Narine and Russell snuffed out a Moeen Ali-led chase to set up an Eliminator clash with Dubai Capitals.”

The IPL, I only played two games but every game and every occasion. Definitely, just knowing what I'm able to get out of myself when the situation is like that and when the atmosphere is like that. I definitely had a lot more confidence coming into this game after playing in front of, I don't know, 50,000 - which felt like 100,000 - at the Chinnaswamy.
