Contrary to his usual position down the order, Ashwin believes Dhoni is preparing to bat as high as No. 3, acting as an 'enforcer' during the powerplay.

Ashwin noted that Dhoni has already begun practicing intensely for the upcoming season, looking exceptionally fit and motivated. This speculation comes as CSK aims for a major turnaround after a disappointing 2025 campaign, where they finished at the bottom of the table for the first time in their history.
