Delhi Capitals School Cup Concludes with Double Triumph for Modern School Barakhamba Road
The Delhi Capitals (DC) successfully concluded the DC School Cup 2025, their flagship interschool T20 tournament, with Modern School Barakhamba Road achieving a remarkable double triumph by winning both the boys' and girls' categories. The tournament, which utilized BCCI-qualified officials and premium venues, including the Arun Jaitley Stadium for the finals, aims to nurture grassroots talent in the city.
In the boys' final, Tanmay Chaudhary was the standout performer, scoring 118 off 65 balls and later being named Player of the Tournament after amassing 583 runs across the competition. In the girls' final, skipper Kashvi Kumar smashed 118 off 62 balls to secure the title. The initiative provided hundreds of young cricketers with a professional match-day setup, breathing new life into school cricket in Delhi.
DC CEO Sunil Gupta praised the event's success, emphasizing the franchise's commitment to building Delhi’s cricketing future and expressing hope for greater participation, particularly from more girls' teams, in the coming year.
