Chennai Super Kings pacer Khaleel Ahmed has cut short his stint with Essex in the County Championship due to personal reasons.

Ahmed, who recently joined Essex on a two-month contract, played only two first-class matches, taking four wickets. The club confirmed his departure in an official statement, wishing him well for the future.

Ahmed's departure leaves Essex with limited overseas pace options for their upcoming match against Warwickshire. He had joined the county side after a promising performance for India A against England Lions.
