Rajasthan Royals' Director of High Performance, Zubin Bharucha, has publicly advocated for the immediate inclusion of young batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi into the senior Indian squad. Bharucha drew a direct parallel between the 17-year-old and cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar, emphasizing that Suryavanshi is operating at a level far beyond his peers.
Suryavanshi, who became the youngest player ever in the IPL after signing a contract with the Royals, made headlines earlier this year by smashing the fastest century by an Indian in IPL history (35 balls). Bharucha highlighted the youngster's exceptional talent, recalling a moment when Suryavanshi stunned Jofra Archer in the nets by hitting a back-foot shot out of the stadium, reinforcing the belief that the prodigy is ready for the highest level of cricket.
“He should be fast-tracked into the senior team, just like Sachin Tendulkar was when he first broke through. They need to give this guy a chance immediately. He’s operating in a completely different zone.”
