Royal Challengers Bangalore pacer Mohammad Siraj has reflected on his exceptional performance during the recent Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy series in England, where he emerged as the highest wicket-taker overall. Siraj secured 23 wickets across the five-match series, playing a pivotal role in India achieving a hard-fought 2-2 draw. His consistent effort and high workload, delivering 185.3 overs, were particularly crucial as senior pacer Jasprit Bumrah was rested for two matches.
Siraj revealed that his mindset upon landing in England was singularly focused on topping the wicket charts, a goal he successfully achieved. This dominant display of pace and endurance earned him the ICC Men's Player of the Month award for August 2025. The pacer's current form is a major boost for the national side and will undoubtedly excite RCB fans ahead of the next IPL season.
“When I landed in England, my aim was to become the highest wicket-taker there. That was my zone. During the whole series, I was mentally strong — I wanted to be 100 per cent fit, 100 per cent available, and play all five matches.”
