Anshul Kamboj reflected on his international debut in the fourth Test between England and India, expressing a mix of satisfaction and determination to improve. While pleased to have taken his first international wicket, Kamboj acknowledged areas for improvement in his bowling performance.
He outlined the Indian bowlers' plan for Day 3, focusing on restricting boundaries and dismissing the English batsmen quickly. Kamboj also highlighted the valuable learning experience gained from sharing the dressing room with seasoned pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj.
Despite taking the crucial wicket of Ben Duckett, Kamboj remains focused on refining his skills and contributing more effectively in the remaining days of the Test match.
“I felt good after picking up my maiden wicket in international cricket. I was focused on hitting the right areas — that was my plan from the start. Some deliveries landed well, some didn’t. Honestly, I’m still not fully satisfied with my bowling. I’ll look to improve and do better tomorrow,”
