Cameron Green blasted his way into the record books with a stunning 47-ball century against South Africa in the third ODI, making it the second-fastest ODI century by an Australian. Green's explosive innings of 118 not out, featuring six fours and eight sixes, propelled Australia to a mammoth total of 431/2.
This marked the first instance of Australia having three centurions in a single ODI innings, with Travis Head (142) and Mitchell Marsh (100) also reaching the milestone. Green's unbeaten knock further solidified Australia's dominant performance, despite having already lost the series.
Green's century was part of a record-breaking 164-run partnership with Alex Carey (50*), which was also the second 150+ run stand for Australia in the same match. This incredible batting display highlighted Australia's depth and power-hitting capabilities.
Despite South Africa's series win, Green's historic innings and Australia's massive total will undoubtedly be remembered as a highlight of the tour.
