IPL veteran Chris Jordan has singled out Sunrisers Hyderabad opener Abhishek Sharma as one of the most impressive young Indian batters currently playing. Jordan, known for his extensive experience in global T20 leagues, praised Abhishek's consistent ability to put pressure on opposition bowlers right from the start of the innings.
Jordan noted that Abhishek's aggressive starts often go "underlooked" in T20 cricket, but they are crucial for setting a calm and confident tone in the dressing room. He paired Abhishek with Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill

“I'd definitely say maybe Abhishek or even Shubman. Both of them obviously, they open the batting. But the consistency with which Abhishek can put pressure on the bowlers and get a good start for his team.”
